If more than 120 registrations are received by 20th December 2005 we will apply the HGFA entry rules and inform all entrants as to whether their registration was accepted or not. All unsuccessful applicants will have their entry fees returned

Entry fee $220, GST inclusive
$20 discount for entry fees received before 1st January 2006

Required equipment

Certified Glider (DHV/AFNOR/DHV Load Test with Manufacturer Approval for Pilot) Reserve, GPS, UHF Radio, Harness with Back Protection, Helmet

Other requirements

HGFA membership, Ambulance Membership, Appropriate Medical Insurance
HGFA Intermediate (or its equivalent), 50 hours inland airtime (experience evaluated at Competition Organiser's discretion)

c) HGFA Intermediate/Advanced Paragliding Rating or its international equivalent
If Intermediate rated then a log book detailing a minimum of 50 hours inland airtime

Airspace restrictions There is a low jet route over Mount Buffalo and restricted air space 45 nautical miles around Albury.

Protest fee

Protest timetable A pilot may make a verbal complaint anytime. If the pilot is unsatisfied with the outcome they may lodge a written complaint within an hour of being informed of the verbal outcome. Protests must be logged in writing within 1 hour of any results (interim or otherwise) being posted. A protest committee will convene at or after the next pilot briefing to determine the outcome.

Registration, pilot briefing and pin in location

Competition HQ is at the Bright Visitor Information Centre, Gavan Street, Bright opposite the Alpine Paragliding school.
Registration for the competition starts at 8.00pm until 10.00pm on Fri, 10th and 8:00am till 9:00 am on Sat 11th Feb
Initial briefing on the first Sat will be at 8:30 then consequent daily briefings will be held from 9.00AM unless otherwise advised

Sectors All sectors for turnpoints, start points and goals will be a cylinder. The radii of these cylinders will be announced.
GPS track logs will be used to determine start times and may be used to determine finish (goal) times.
Goals Goals may be unmanned and timed by GPS
Mystic Pass A Mystic Pass is not required. The NEVHGC competition pilot levy reflected in the entry fee gives registered pilots free access to Mystic during the competition and for 1 week prior to the competition. A competition helmet sticker or other verification of registration (such as an official competition receipt) would be required as proof in the absence of a Mystic Pass
Scoring Scoring will use RACE 2003
GPS GPS authentication will use COMPE-GPS
GPS's must accept a map format of dd.mm.ss.s and be downloadable by the latest version of CompeGPS. We will supply download cables for Garmin 12, 72 and 76, please bring cables for any other GPS types
